Help CODA with the matching opportunity of a lifetime!
We can free up THREE bedrooms in the Emergency Shelter for new clients
We can free up THREE bedrooms in the Emergency Shelter for new clients
In September of 2023, CODA had the opportunity of a lifetime. For the first time in recent CODA history, we have purchased a building! This building is conveniently located directly across the street from our shelter and will serve multiple purposes including: a thrift store to bring in a new stream of funding for our organization, administrative space, a recreation area for our clients and meeting space so Survivors’ can have a quiet, safe space to meet with their case managers, community partners or even have therapy sessions.
When CODA administrative staff is able to move across the street, THREE bedrooms will free up in the shelter! In 2023, we were able to serve 149 clients in the emergency shelter and with three more bedrooms, we can increase that number tremendously in 2024.
Before we can move into the new building, we have to make some repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and roof, along with carpet and windows. We cannot wait to make this expansion happen, but we need YOUR HELP! CODA’s building fundraising campaign will help us make the repairs that we need so we can free up this space in the shelter and provide a calm, quiet space for clients to utilize.
